Rank will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience and includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking clinical faculty member/s interested in a career as an academic clinician educator with administrative responsibilities in Antimicrobial Stewardship.

The position is for an Attending Infectious Diseases physician who will provide care in the ambulatory clinic and inpatient consultative service and serve as the Director of Adult Inpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship at a large academic hospital. The successful candidate will have clinical training and experience in Infectious Diseases in the acute care hospital and ambulatory care setting and at least 2years of operational Antimicrobial Stewardship experience. The physician will work with three dedicated inpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacists to promote optimal antibiotic utilization through routine programmatic evaluation, development and implementation of improvement initiatives, and promotion of inter-disciplinary collaboration. Previous leadership experience, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a track record of scholarly work in antimicrobial resistance or stewardship is highly desirable.
