Senior Solutions Management Group in Georgia seeks a dedicated professional to plan, develop, and direct Memory Care activity programs. You will work with administrators, medical staff, and families to provide social stimulation, spiritual enrichment, and individualized activities for residents.

The role emphasizes creating monthly plans, coordinating events, and maintaining resident well-being while respecting budgets and privacy. Strong English skills and a background in elder care are valued.

Formación

• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of experience with the elderly is desired.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsabilidades

• Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff to plan activities.
• Assist in administering and coordinating department policies and procedures.
• Develop and enhance the Memory Care activity program to provide social interaction and spiritual enrichment.
• Create monthly activity plans for approval by the Director of Activities.
• Coordinate in-house events open to families and friends and decorate the facility with monthly themes.
• Assess residents' lifestyle needs and set measurable goals with observable outcomes.
• Involve residents' families in planning activities when possible.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.

Responsible for assisting in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and directing of the activity programs to ensure that the spiritual development, emotional, recreational, and social needs of our Memory Care residents are maintained on an individual basis.

Duties:

• Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments in planning activities.
• Assist in the administering and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
• Responsible for creating and enhancing the resident activity program in Memory Care to provide social stimulation and social interaction as well as spiritual enhancement among residents and staff.
• Develop a written plan of monthly activities for the Director of Activities to approve.
• Cultivate leisure time activities such as games, arts, crafts, movies, etc.
• Develop activities that enhance physical exercise such as bowling, walks, etc.
• Assist in coordinating special events with the Director of Activities.
• Help coordinate in-house special events open to families and friends, e.g., special parties, holiday meals, etc.
• Decorate the facility with the monthly theme.
• Individually assesses and updates residents’ lifestyle needs and sets measurable goals with observable approaches.
• Involve the resident’s family in planning activities when possible.
• Encourage hobbies and crafts and provide materials in keeping with resident’s financial status and department budget.
• Assist in compiling and maintaining an activity schedule, available projects, crafts, resources, etc.
• Obtain information concerning the residents’ backgrounds to better provide activities to meet their needs.
• Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and honor the residents' personal property rights.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school degree or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in working with the elderly is desired.
• Should have a creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
