Job summary

Seacoast Bank seeks a Director of Accounting Systems & Financial Data to lead strategy, governance, and operation of all accounting data and financial systems. You will ensure data integrity, availability, and automation for general ledger accounting, reporting, regulatory filings, and executive decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in financial systems, accounting data management, or financial reporting.
• Banking or financial services experience required; regulatory reporting exposure preferred.
• Leadership experience managing technical/analytical teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and roadmap for accounting data architecture, reporting systems, and automation.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, definitions, lineage, and quality controls.
• Create reusable reporting templates, data models, and analytics tools.
• Ensure data usage consistency across Accounting, FP&A, Risk, Treasury, and other areas.
• Lead modernization initiatives including cloud migrations and automation technologies.
• Oversee general ledger, consolidation tools, reporting platforms, and data warehouse components.
• Partner with IT on system architecture, cybersecurity, access controls, and infra planning.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and statutory reporting, with automated validation processes.
• Drive process improvements to reduce manual accounting activities and accelerate close cycles.
• Collaborate across departments to optimize end-to-end financial processes and reporting.
