Job summary

FIGS, Inc. seeks a Director of Accounting to lead the Accounting & Finance team in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

You’ll oversee month-end close for the sales-to-cash cycle, manage the accounting team, and partner with finance and business leaders on strategic initiatives. The role requires CPA with Big 4 experience, 8+ years in public accounting or public company settings, and expertise in US GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• In depth knowledge of US GAAP.
• Current CPA.
• Big 4 Public Accounting and strong SOX 404 experience.
• 8+ years experience with a combination of public accounting and/or public company industry experience.
• Strong leadership abilities with team development and internal controls.
• Familiarity with international accounting processes, multi-currency consolidations.
• IFRS experience preferred.
• NetSuite OneWorld experience required.
• Able to handle high volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and business partnering capabilities.
• Forward-looking thinker with process-improvement ability.
• Ability to leverage technology for data gathering and analysis.
• Experience implementing accounting systems or process automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close processes for the sales-to-cash cycle and review journal entries.
• Oversee reconciliations and staff work, ensuring timely close.
• Identify opportunities to improve close processes and document ownership.
• Lead projects to improve efficiency, systems usage, and reporting tools.
• Develop scalable AR processes for growing B2B partnerships and retail operations.
• Support royalties reporting and settlement for licensed products.
• Ensure on-time completion of close duties and quarterly earnings support.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff with cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with FP&A for monthly results and ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain SOX controls documentation; lead control walkthroughs.
• Assist with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for GAAP/compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors for required documentation.
• Support ad-hoc projects on process improvement, reporting, and data analytics.
• Drive technology usage for data gathering and analysis; support system implementations.
