Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the accounting organization within a well-established industrial services company. The role oversees financial reporting, compliance, and a team of professionals, acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership.

You will mentor and develop the accounting team, manage close cycles, and ensure GAAP compliance across multiple entities while partnering with operations on project financial performance and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous Controller or Accounting Manager experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Sage ERP is a plus
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Oversee financial reporting and maintain multiple entities in accordance with GAAP
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Present monthly financial results, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership
• Support budgeting, forecasting, asset management, and internal controls
• Coordinate external audits and work closely with CPA partners
• Oversee job costing, bank reconciliations, tax-related activities, and insurance administration
• Partner with operations and project management teams to review project financial performance
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency
