Job summary

Experitec is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the finance team and ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting across multiple operating divisions. This onsite-to-hybrid role will require hands-on ownership of the close process, internal controls, revenue recognition, and project accounting.

You will partner with FP&A, Operations, Project Management, Service, Sales, IT, HR/Benefits, and Executive Leadership to drive disciplined financial management, scalable processes, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or a similar field.
• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including close, financial reporting, audit, and controls.
• Experience managing audit, GAAP, revenue‑recognition, ESOP, and technical accounting.
• 5+ years of people leadership in accounting/finance.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Experience with BI, workflow, and automation tools.
• ERP systems experience and ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting.
• Own general ledger integrity, COA, classifications, and reporting structure.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, credit, cash application, and project accounting.
• Drive revenue recognition policies and ensure project accounting alignment.
• Oversee treasury operations, working capital management, and risk/insurance administration.
