Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting (remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end SEC reporting process (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.)
• Lead technical accounting research, analysis, and memo preparation
• Implement and communicate the impact of new accounting standards
• Provide accounting guidance on strategic initiatives and non-recurring transactions
• Oversee corporate accounting functions related to stock compensation and equity interests
• Partner with internal teams (Operations, Legal, Treasury, Communications) for quarterly and ad hoc filings
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors regarding complex accounting issues
• Continuously drive improvements in financial reporting processes
• Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting
• CPA required; Master’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred
• Proven success in a leadership role, including managing direct reports and driving cross-functional alignment
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and equity-based compensation
• Exceptional communication, project management, and documentation skills
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems such as Workiva (wDesk), Workday, Equity Edge, and Microsoft Excel
