Job summary

Topaz HR is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead the financial operations of multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This high-impact role focuses on bringing accounting in-house, improving financial visibility, and building scalable reporting processes to support continued growth.

The ideal candidate has skilled nursing facility accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience in skilled nursing facilities.
• CPA strongly preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel and accounting systems proficiency.
• Apex software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for multiple nursing home facilities.
• Develop and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
• Create facility-level financial reports to analyze revenue, expenses, and performance.
• Monitor financial results and identify trends, variances, and cost drivers.
• Collaborate with billing teams and third-party vendors to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Partner with executive leadership to improve financial reporting and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has skilled nursing facility accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for multiple nursing home facilities
• Develop and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures
• Create facility-level financial reports to analyze revenue, expenses, and performance
• Monitor financial results and identify trends, variances, and cost drivers
• Collaborate with billing teams and third-party vendors to ensure financial accuracy
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives

Compensation & Benefits
