  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and workflow technologies to improve operational effectiveness, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail, professionalism, discretion and sound judgment.

Job description

Reporting to the Provost, the Director of Academic Affairs Administration provides leadership for the administrative operations of the Provost’s Office and supports the effective execution of Academic Affairs priorities. The Director oversees office operations, supervises administrative staff, manages academic systems and workflows, coordinates committees and institutional initiatives, and develops processes that enhance operational effectiveness and decision-making across Academic Affairs.

The Director partners with academic leaders and campus stakeholders to coordinate projects, communications, budgets, events, reporting, and administrative processes that support faculty affairs, accreditation, assessment, enrollment, and strategic priorities. This role serves as a key operational partner in building efficient systems, improving workflows, and ensuring responsive support for the academic mission.

Qualifications & Capabilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, academic affairs, operations, or related fields, with demonstrated experience managing complex administrative functions and supervising staff.
  • Experience supporting academic governance, faculty affairs, institutional initiatives, or university-level operations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with enterprise systems, data management, workflow technologies, and tools that improve operational effectiveness, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Base Pay Range: $91,454 - $103,925 annually
