Job summary

Amgen seeks a Director of Scientific and Operations Intelligence, Obesity, to lead cross-functional analytics across R&D, Medical, Clinical Development, and Operations. You will frame priorities, align senior stakeholders, and deliver actionable insights to accelerate decisions in obesity and related conditions.

This role emphasizes building a scalable analytics capability, partnering with India-based teams, and delivering value through sophisticated data, models, and visuals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior leaders across R&D, Medical, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Supply, and related Operations to shape the Insights & Analytics agenda.
• Serve as an agile problem-solving leader across scientific and operations remit; deploy to priority priorities.
• Lead end-to-end work: define the decision, determine analytical approach, mobilize data and experts, synthesize findings, and track impact.
• Integrate scientific and operational information into decision-ready views of options, dependencies, uncertainties, and trade-offs.
• Build reusable decision products and analytical capabilities, including models, dashboards, and decision trees, applying AI where it adds value.
• Develop the long-term team and operating model, governance, and delivery across global capabilities.
