Paycom is seeking an ASC Director of Nursing to lead nursing staff and partner with administration to ensure high-quality patient care in the ambulatory surgery center. You will manage staffing, recruit and onboard nurses, and promote a safe, compliant practice environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, coordinating patient care across surgeons, physicians, nurses, techs and admin teams, and driving staff education and competency programs to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state-specific)
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Specialty CN or CPAN certification preferred
• BSN preferred

GENERAL SUMMARYThe Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Director of Nursing works with the Medical Director and the ASC Administrator to ensure consistent quality of patient care while fostering an environment of teamwork for the outpatient surgery center.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIESResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Supervises nursing staff.Partners with the Administrator and others at all levels of the organization to plan and manage the day to day operations of the surgery center.Determines and maintains adequate nursing staff requirements in relation to patient care standards.Assists in recruiting, training and onboarding new nursing staff.Establishes and maintains an environment that promotes and supports safe professional practice.Communicates with doctors, patients and family members about the patients health.Oversees department budgets.Assists in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each patient, as well as developing methods for coordination between surgeons, physicians, nurses, techs and administrative team members.Develops, implements, and evaluates programs to enrich the recruitment, retention and continuing education of the nursing and administrative staff.Tracks outcomes, identify areas for improvement and implement plans of correction.Ensures that annual competency evaluations and performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.Supervises collection of all required records and reports.Performs other position related duties as assigned.Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
