Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks a nuclear station leader for the maintenance department, covering mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems. Location will be based at one of Vistra’s four nuclear sites, including Oak Harbor, OH.

The role requires ensuring maintenance activities meet procedures, regulatory requirements, and company directives, while budgets are developed and monitored and staff are trained and supervised. This is a leadership at a major nuclear site.

Qualifications

• Eight years related experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent.
• Four years of experience at an operational nuclear power plant at supervisory/management level in maintenance.
• Experience from college degree programs and/or certifications applicable to above skills.
• Preferred: Senior Reactor License or equivalent operational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative direction in maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
• Oversee activities of Maintenance Support Manager, Maintenance Services Manager, and Maintenance Training Coordinator.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies and directives.
• Develop and monitor Maintenance Department budgets.
• Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure maintenance personnel are trained and supervised.
• Direct contractors on plant maintenance matters.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide technical and administrative direction in all aspects of maintenance, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
• Accountable for the activities associated with the Maintenance Support Manager, Maintenance Services Manager, and Maintenance Training Coordinator.
• Ensure all Maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with approved procedures, instructions, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies and directives.
• Development and monitoring of Maintenance Department budgets.
• Maintain the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure Maintenance personnel are trained and supervised.
• Directing contractors on matters relating to plant maintenance

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Eight years related experience in the nuclear industry or equivalence.
• Four years of experience at an operational nuclear power plant. During the four years, the individual shall have help positions in maintenance at the supervisory or management level.
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications applicable to above skills
• Problem solving expertise and techniques to address issues
• It is preferred that you possess a Senior Reactor License OR a Senior Reactor License certification OR equivalent Operational knowledge
