Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is seeking a Director of Nonclinical DMPK to lead strategy for small-molecule programs, guiding design, execution and evaluation of nonclinical DMPK studies.

You will influence development plans and regulatory documents, working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. The role requires oversight of IND- and NDA-enabling studies, risk-based recommendations, and collaboration with discovery and development programs to ensure scientific excellence and

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related area with at least 7 years of experience.
• Proven track record delivering discovery and early development assets to the clinic and PoC.
• Strong planning and execution of nonclinical studies; regulatory knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the DMPK functional expert on cross-functional discovery and development teams.
• Provide strategic nonclinical safety recommendations to support program progression.
• Communicate DMPK findings and risk assessments to project teams and senior leadership.
• Influence portfolio decisions through integrated interpretation of DMPK data and risk assessments.
• Manage outsourcing and study timelines, budgets, and deliverables for assigned programs.
