Job summary

VAST Data is seeking a Director of Business Development – NeoClouds to build and scale a strategic ecosystem around NeoCloud and GPU Cloud providers globally. This senior IC role focuses on turning emerging AI infrastructure providers into revenue and ecosystem partners for VAST.

As a builder, you will operate in an emerging market, create opportunities, and collaborate across sales, product, engineering, alliances, and executive leadership to scale partnerships into measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, cloud infrastructure, or platform ecosystems.
• Ability to create business from zero and translate strategy into revenue.
• Experience navigating complex deal structures and partnerships.
• Existing relationships across NeoClouds, GPU infrastructure or AI ecosystems are highly valued.
• Comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and develop relationships with NeoClouds, GPU Cloud providers, AI infrastructure platforms, and emerging cloud services.
• Create new business from the ground up—from initial engagement through commercial strategy, partnership structure, and revenue generation.
• Develop strategic partnerships: define GTM and joint solution opportunities.
• Drive revenue: build a meaningful pipeline and translate relationships into measurable revenue.
• Shape the go-to-market model with repeatable engagement rules and commercial frameworks.
• Build executive relationships with founders, CEOs, CROs, infrastructure leaders, and other senior decision-makers.
• Connect technology to business by understanding partner strategies and where VAST fits.
• Orchestrate internally across Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Leadership.
• Bring market intelligence on NeoCloud trends to shape VAST’s strategy.
