We are seeking a Director-level banker for KeyBanc Capital Markets Native American Financial Services team. The position will involve client and prospect coverage / relationship management for Native American tribes within a defined region of the U.S. (TBD). The banker must have significant knowledge of the Native American sector, along with strong credit and banking experience. The location of the candidate is flexible, but travel will be involved. The detailed qualifications are outlined in the Job Profile below.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Responsible for generating new revenue through the origination, structuring, and distribution of Key’s products and services to Native American clients and prospects.
  2. Establish a Trusted Advisor role and deepen client relationships by identifying financial and banking needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  3. Identify cross-sell opportunities and collaborate with product specialists in areas such as Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, cash management, interest rate risk management, fixed income investments, and asset management.
  4. Maintain credit quality of the portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of corporate or investment banking experience with proven client relationship and sales abilities.
  2. Experience working with Native American tribal governments, tribal gaming enterprises, and other tribal entities.
  3. Exceptional at developing and maintaining important client relationships and generating revenue.
  4. Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline.
  6. Broad product knowledge and specific technical expertise.
  7. Superior client relationship management, presentation, and sales skills, along with extensive financial product knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary ranges approximately from $225,000 annually, depending on location, experience, education, licenses, and certifications.
  • Eligibility for short-term and deferred incentive compensation, based on performance.
