Job description

Overview

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. We are building a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values scientific excellence, operational rigor, and collaboration. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our workforce strategy to ensure we have the right talent, at the right time, in the right way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and contribute towards implementation of an integrated multicultural/inclusive marketing strategy (both unbranded and branded) in support of Rezdiffra and pipeline assets
  • Collaborate in the acquisition of customer and market insights through established and new channels including advisory boards, focus groups, and primary market research to understand the needs, behaviors, and barriers of diverse populations (e.g., women with MASH and other co-morbidities, Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian and other segments to be defined)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DTC and HCP marketing teams, corporate affairs/patient advocacy, medical affairs, regulatory, and legal to ensure compliant and culturally appropriate content
  • Identify and partner with thought leaders, community organizations, advocacy groups, and healthcare professionals to build trust and engagement within underserved communities
  • Partner with marketing team to evolve and co-create educational campaigns and culturally relevant content across channels (digital, print, social media, patient education materials)
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with pharmaceutical regulatory (e.g., FDA/OPDP requirements), legal and medical guidelines and policies
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, using insights to optimize future initiatives
  • Manage relationships with agencies and vendors
Required & Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related field (MBA or MPH preferred)
  • 12-15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare marketing or advertising experience with significant experience specifically in multicultural marketing
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and health disparities across diverse populations; multilingual candidates preferred
  • Experience working within regulated environments (pharma/biotech strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion guidelines
  • Domestic business travel up to 20%
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
