Job summary

The Step2 Company in Streetsboro, Ohio is seeking a Director of Distribution & Logistics to optimize the flow of products across its network of warehouses. The role requires a hands-on leader with a technical background to drive improvements in cost, service, and safety.

With a focus on continual improvement and data-driven decision-making, the Director will guide a team and manage partnerships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring the efficient delivery of large-format products. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, and/or logistics.
• Demonstrated technical background with data and engineered process design.
• Direct experience managing or evaluating 3PL partners and negotiating freight.
• Strong command of WMS/TMS platforms and warehouse/transportation analytics.
• Proven people-leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Based in or able to relocate to the Streetsboro, Ohio area.

Responsibilities

• Own the physical flow of Step2 products across a network of warehouses and partners.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety programs.
• Direct day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency across warehouse locations.
• Optimize product flow and space utilization through effective strategies.
• Manage partner relationships with 3PLs and oversee freight strategies.
• Ensure inventory accuracy across the network and build cross-functional partnerships.
• Lead capital and operating budget planning for the function.
