Job summary

UC Davis Health's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a dynamic Director of Molecular Pathology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, in Clinical (X) or Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) series. The role provides strategic vision and leadership over the Molecular Pathology Division.

Qualifications

• MD/MD-equivalent or PhD/MD-PhD with board cert in Pathology and molecular pathology eligibility.
• Eligible for California licensure.
• Clinical or academic experience including care, teaching and research.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Medical, technical and scientific directorship of division staff and laboratory personnel.
• Supervise molecular laboratory operations and participate in test reporting and new test development.
• Contribute to quality assurance and accreditation activities.
• Engage in teaching housestaff and medical students and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.
