The Need
For 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Director, Mobilization and Partnerships, Dallas.
The fight to end everyday violence requires a committed constituency of advocates willing to stand up on behalf of people in poverty experiencing violence. The Director, Mobilization & Partnerships, Dallas will scale the movement against slavery and other forms of violent oppression by recruiting, equipping, and championing new donors, churches, businesses, and volunteers. This senior role is responsible for developing strategies to acquire high-value donors, Freedom Partners, volunteers, and institutional partners, thereby scaling the movement. It involves building relationships with local networks and leaders and managing volunteer teams. The position requires frequent regional travel and periodic visits to the Arlington, VA office.
This remote position is based in Dallas, Texas, reports to the Head of Mobilization, and is only available to candidates authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities
- Power-map your city and region to identify optimal recruitment channels for donors, advocates, churches, businesses, and partners.
- Evaluate potential partners and donors based on capacity and resources; craft tailored partnership opportunities aligned with IJM’s needs and the prospective partner’s strengths.
- Identify and manage strategic projects to activate Christian business groups, churches, and faith-based networks as agents of change, reaching thousands of Christians, increasing donations, and deepening engagement.
- Develop regional strategies to grow engagement among Christians via relationships with coalitions, pastor gatherings, and Christian networks in the Dallas area.
Networking & Partnership
- Implement partnership strategies to diversify and expand the pipeline of supporters, delivering new partners to front-line teams and utilizing high-impact volunteers.
- Advance IJM’s movement through leading vision trips and strengthening global partnerships with churches, business networks, key alliances, and field offices.
- Network with key agents of change, leveraging their platforms for the mission.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on churches, coalitions, conferences, denominations, and anti-human trafficking efforts in Dallas.
- Fill volunteer needs in Dallas to support events, tours, and campaigns.
Communication
- Collaborate internally and regionally to develop best practices and share key learnings.
- Represent IJM as a high-level spokesperson at speaking engagements, in print media, on radio, and through other marketing channels.
- Champion regional campaigns such as Freedom Sunday, Local Prayer Gathering, Rescue Party, IJM campus chapters, and workplace giving campaigns.
- Understand audience needs and craft engaging messages with relevant stories and calls-to-action, testing different approaches to set industry standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 5-7 years of leading partnership relationships (e.g., businesses, conferences, churches).
- 5+ years of fundraising and/or sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Proven ability to activate communities of influence.
- High-capacity community leader with experience in philanthropy and management.
- Experience with events and conferences.
- Expertise in leveraging media and PR.
- Proficiency in marketing across all platforms (digital, web, print, event).
