Job summary

The Digital Chamber in Washington, DC is seeking a Director, Member Relations to lead the Members Services team and manage day-to-day member relationships, engagement, renewals, and retention.

Based in a hybrid role reporting to the VP, Member Experience & Engagement, you will mentor two Member Services Associates, develop processes, track KPIs, and partner with policy and marketing to deliver member value through events, roundtables, and executive engagements.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in membership services or client relationship management.
  • Proven track record in retention, revenue growth, and engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of blockchain and digital asset industry or ability to learn quickly.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication with executives and policymakers.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in CRM and project management tools like Salesforce and Asana.

  • Facilitate networking events, roundtables, Fly-ins, working groups, and introductions.
  • Partner with policy team to keep members informed on legislative developments.
  • Lead renewal conversations to ensure seamless retention.
  • Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at member organizations.

THE ROLE

The Digital Chamber is seeking a full-time Director, Member Relations to lead the Members Services team. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of member relationships, engagement, retention, and renewals, while managing and developing a team of Member Services Associates. The Director will also serve as the primary relationship lead for Executive Committee member accounts, ensuring member receive consistent value from their TDC membership and are connected to relevant policy, events, networking, and engagement opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have strong client management and people leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of cultivating and maintaining high‑value memberships. This role is based in Washington, DC. This hybrid role will report to the VP, Member Experience & Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two Member Services Associates, setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Oversee workload distribution and account assignments across the team, ensuring balanced coverage and consistent quality of member service.
  • Establish and monitor team-wide processes, best practices, and KPIs for member engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for Executive Committee member accounts, ensuring a seamless and valuable experience for members.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each member’s business model, policy interests, and the specific benefits they seek from their TDC membership.
  • Oversee and execute the delivery of membership benefits, coordinating cross‑functionally with internal teams, including policy, government relations, and marketing.
  • Track and analyze member engagement to identify opportunities for increased involvement and retention.
  • Facilitate engagement opportunities that align with members’ business objectives, including networking events, exclusive roundtables, Fly-in, working groups, and one‑on‑one introductions.
  • Partner with TDC policy team to ensure members are informed and engaged in relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Lead renewal conversations for assigned member accounts, ensuring seamless execution and member retention.
  • Maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers at member organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of experience in membership services or client relationship management, with prior experience managing or mentoring team members.
  • Proven track record in membership retention, revenue growth, and engagement strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of the blockchain and digital asset industry or an ability to quickly develop expertise in relevant policy areas.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills with ability to engage high‑level executives and policymakers.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality work on tight deadlines in fast‑paced environment.
  • Mission and results‑driven, with a proven ability to self‑motivate and successfully reprioritize as necessary with a consistently action‑oriented and energetic approach.
  • Able to both lead initiatives and work as a collaborative team player who can harness the collective ideas of others.
  • Proficient in CRM and project management tools like Salesforce and Asana.
