The Role:

We seek a Director of Member Marketing Operations & Automation to lead our B2C global member marketing strategies—enhancing personalized engagement, operational excellence, and revenue growth.

This role involves owning systems, processes, and data infrastructure for multi-channel, multi-language campaigns, optimizing personalization, automation, and performance across the member lifecycle. You will serve as a strategic leader and hands-on operator, managing our MarTech ecosystem, including platforms like Marketo or Blueshift, and integrating AI tools to boost efficiency and outcomes globally.

The Team:

Reporting to the VP of Growth & Engagement, you'll lead a team comprising a Member Marketing Operations Manager and Email QA Specialists. Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Data, and Business Systems—you'll ensure seamless system integration across CRM, analytics, and data infrastructure, while partnering with the B2B Marketing Ops team as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in marketing operations and automation, with 5+ years in a leadership role scaling a marketing ops center, preferably in B2C health benefits, wellness, or regulated consumer tech
  • Proven experience inheriting, optimizing, and scaling a B2C MarTech stack to increase engagement and revenue
  • Hands-on vendor evaluation and migration experience for MarTech platforms
  • Deep expertise with marketing automation and CRM systems; strong UTM and funnel KPI knowledge
  • Advanced technical skills, including HTML and CSS for dynamic messaging and responsive UI development
  • Experience mentoring high-performing B2C marketing operations teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with robust QA and data governance standards
  • Extensive experience with multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, push, in-app), including A/B testing, segmentation, and translations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy best practices in health contexts
  • Hands-on ownership of work with a focus on details
  • Effective communicator and influencer across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analytical mindset with BI tools experience (Tableau, Looker)
  • Creative problem-solver and innovative thinker, always seeking to improve results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating AI/ML tools into lifecycle marketing for smarter segmentation and predictive engagement
  • Familiarity with SQL and collaboration with data teams on advanced queries and segmentation (a plus but not required)

Compensation:

Carrot offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including health benefits, retirement plans, incentives, parental leave, family-forming support, and a competitive salary range of $170,000–$185,000, commensurate with experience.
