Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Director of Software Development to define, execute, and manage the full software lifecycle for internal medical device software. You will lead senior and junior engineers, align with R&D and regulatory teams, and ensure projects meet quality and regulatory objectives.

The base pay range is $251,410 - $345,686, with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in computer science or related field.
• 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, including at least 5 years in a team leadership role.
• Proven leadership with ability to develop strategy, drive execution and deliver results.
• Expertise in agile development methodologies and software lifecycle management.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and update the software development strategy to streamline workflows and enable future product growth.
• Oversee projects from planning through release, including scoping, prioritization, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality criteria while demonstrating business value.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of software engineers and foster collaboration with leadership.
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, team development, and escalation handling.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets with fiscal discipline.
• Ensure adherence to FDA GMP/QSR and ISO13485 requirements and regulatory standards.
