Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) seeks a senior leader to drive the digital strategy for Medical Affairs and Medical and Scientific Communications. You will define a scalable roadmap, govern platforms, and partner with Commercial, Legal, Medical and Regulatory teams to enhance scientific communications and operational efficiency.

The role emphasizes leading technology-focused projects, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and delivering user-centric digital solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10+ years of Medical Information/Medical Affairs or equivalent experience in pharma.
• Experience leading technology-focused projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficiency with PC-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of AI technologies and patient-centric applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and implementation of a digital strategy for Medical Affairs/Medical Communications.
• Serve as SMEs for Medical information systems and related platforms.
• Ensure platforms, databases and content are compliant and scalable.
• Oversee management of Medical Affairs systems (MIRF, IRMS, Pubshub, SharePoint).
• Develop project plans for pre- and post-launch activities for Medical Affairs systems.
