Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to shape the digital strategy for Medical Affairs and scientific communications.

You will serve as a subject matter expert for Medical Communications systems and drive reliable, compliant platforms across the organization. The role emphasizes governance of the SMPA Medical Affairs website, cross-functional collaboration, and agile project leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
10+ years of Medical Information/Medical Affairs experience preferred.
Experience leading technology-focused projects and cross-functional initiatives to improve processes.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Technical expertise with content management systems and CRM platforms.
Experience working with Commercial, Legal, Medical, and Regulatory stakeholders and knowledge of pharma workflows.
Knowledge of AI technologies and their patient-centric applications.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with teammates to align priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, development, and implementation of a digital strategy for Medical Affairs and Communications.
Serve as a SME for Medical Communications systems and related platforms.
Ensure Medical Information platforms are reliable, compliant, and scalable.
Oversee management of Medical Affairs systems including SharePoint and CRM tools.
Lead governance and optimization of the SMPA Medical Affairs website.
Develop project plans for pre- and post-launch readiness of Medical Affairs systems.
Implement innovations to strengthen quality control and workflow efficiency.
Execute ad hoc projects requiring technical and operational support.
