Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) School of Medicine seeks a Director of Academic Learning and Progress to lead the academic-progress infrastructure from matriculation through graduation. You will design data-informed support, early-alert and remediation programs in collaboration with key partners.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 4+ years in academic support or medical education, with supervisory leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, psychology, learning sciences, counseling, health professions education, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading academic-progress, remediation, and student-support initiatives.
• Strong supervisory and program-leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the academic-progress infrastructure across the curriculum and CQI cycles.
• Oversee early-alert, remediation, and Student Progress Committee processes.
• Manage staff and resources to ensure mission-aligned student support.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders, assessment, and registrars for process improvements.
