Job summary

University of North Carolina Asheville is seeking a Director for the Math Assistance Center (Math Lab). This 10-month EHRA staff role leads operations, staffing, training and evaluation of tutors, and oversees policies, budgets, technology and assessment.

The Director will recruit and supervise staff, foster a welcoming student-centered environment, and support program growth and collaboration with the mathematics department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Ability to assist with college-level mathematics through the 300-level and introductory statistics.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to function professionally in a highly collaborative and dynamic organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead Math Lab operations, including staffing, scheduling, and evaluation of tutors and staff.
• Oversee policies, budgets, technology, and assessment efforts.
