Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace in Riverside, CA seeks a Senior Materials and Manufacturing Engineering Leader to own the strategic direction of the group and align objectives with production goals.

You will lead a team of engineers, drive process improvements, and collaborate with design, operations, and suppliers to enhance manufacturability, yield, and cost while shaping the future of aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 10 years of experience.
• Leadership experience in materials or manufacturing engineering in aerospace or similar regulated industries.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams supporting production, operations, or design engineering.
• Experience solving manufacturing problems, leading investigations, and implementing systemic improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute long-term strategic direction for the group, aligning with business strategy and manufacturing needs.
• Develop and implement short- and mid-term operational plans that support production and new programs.
• Lead improvements to processes, standards, and operating plans to optimize material performance and manufacturability.
• Support manufacturing engineering decisions to enhance yield, cost, and robustness.
