TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Director- Manufacturing Quality located in Germantown, TN.
Responsible for the creation and implementationand execution of systemic processes to improve the flow of product and information between supplied products, factory
produced product, product configuration, order management, and multiple distribution facilities ensuring that correct product is delivered to the work sites as requested, on time, and efficiently
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Complete evaluation of the processes in place that address supplier product quality including timely delivery, specification compliance, supplier communication, and component performance. Upon completion of the evaluation candidate is expected to develop new processes and / or modify
current process to address systemic defects. - Assess all processes in place to improve the accuracy of the order management functions including the field ordering, product configuration and warranty processing. Once assessment is completed the candidate is expected to address
gaps in current procedures or create and implement missing procedures that address the current systemic defects. - Driving reduction of production generated defects through the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address all facets of the production process including but not limited to process modification, addition of procedures, operator
training, and documentation creation. - Identify and address root causes of the systemic defects in the logistics process for product delivery including packaging, transport, storage, and delivery to the job site
- Lead regularly scheduled company meetings for representation, promotion and betterment of quality processes.
- Drive a strong Quality culture in which Quality is a competitive advantage through efficient / effective actions resulting in a holistic customer focused team that thrives on the success of the customer.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 8-10 years of experience in diversified industrial and / or services
space - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Master's degree is preferred but not required
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – from ASQ, Lean Manufacturing Certification, preferred
- Quality/Technical Skills – Experience with lean six sigma, quality planning, training, system auditing, root cause analysis / corrective action implementation, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and meeting cost of quality goals. Knowledge of ISO 9000 is a plus.
- Customer Focus - Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions, and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Problem Solving - Skilled at creating and leading quality processes, metrics and improvement methodologies. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Effective Communications - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels.
- Flexibility and Adaptability - Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed. Knowledge of and ability to align the organization's people and culture with changes in business strategy, organizational structure, technology and business processes.
- Managing Multiple Priorities - Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Coaching Others - Knowledge of coaching concepts and methods; ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness. Proven track record of successfully attracting, developing and managing quality professionals in a team environment, driving success across a large business.
