Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking an experienced Director of Major Gifts to advance philanthropic priorities by developing meaningful relationships with alumni, parents, faculty, and friends of the institution.

The Director will manage a portfolio of approximately 120 donors capable of $100,000+ gifts, guiding cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to deepen engagement and secure transformational support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible fundraising experience in higher education or healthcare.
• Proven track record of securing major gifts of $500,000 or more.
• Expertise in moves management and donor lifecycle planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including proposals.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 120 major gift prospects and donors.
• Develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Conduct donor visits, events, and personalized communications.
• Identify and engage new major gift prospects.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to align priorities.
• Prepare compelling proposals and donor communications.
• Maintain accurate donor activity records in the development database.
• Represent Einstein at events.
