Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Director to join our Federal Tax Specialty with a focus on partnership transactions and related federal income tax matters. The role emphasizes leading transaction structuring, advising on complex issues, and growing client relationships across a national practice.

The candidate will oversee teams, manage engagement economics, and contribute to the growth of our Tax M&A platform, delivering value-driven planning and proactive risk management for private equity

Competenze

• 8–12+ years of progressive tax experience with significant M&A exposure.
• Strong background in partnership and pass-through taxation.
• Experience leading teams and client engagements.
• Experience advising private equity funds and portfolio companies is preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead partnership transaction structuring and modeling.
• Manage analyses of basis step-ups, 704 allocations, and related issues.
• Deliver post-close planning and transitional services.
• Analyze complex federal tax issues for partnerships and pass-through entities.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary teams across transactions.
• Advise senior client stakeholders with risk-balanced recommendations.
• Own engagement economics: scope, staffing, budgets, billing, collections.
• Coach and develop teams with emphasis on technical excellence and communication.
• Build and deepen client relationships and support business development.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market-facing content.
