About the Role

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Corporate Development team oversees M&A and integration. The Integration Management Office builds the integration vision, leads divestitures, carve‑outs, and high‑priority strategic programs. This fast‑paced group collaborates with leadership, functional leaders, and global stakeholders to manage integrations from sign to close and post‑close, and to deliver outcomes with governance, change management, and cross‑functional transparency.

Reporting

The Senior Manager/Director reports to the VP of M&A Integration & Special Projects and leads workstreams and strategic programs across the team’s portfolio.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead integration, separation, and additional strategic programs, including integration planning, day‑1 readiness, cutover planning, first‑100‑days execution, separation planning, and TSAs.
  • Build and run program governance: milestone tracking, RAID logs, dependency management, synergy tracking, and status reporting via Smartsheet and other tools.
  • Partner with functional leaders (People, Legal, Finance, IT, InfoSec, Real Estate, business units) to align strategy, surface risks, and broker decisions.
  • Collaborate on integration diligence, assess complexity and risk, shape strategy, validate synergy assumptions, and develop day‑1 readiness plans.
  • Coordinate workstreams across multiple time zones and geographies, including Europe and Asia.
  • Develop executive‑ready materials: steering‑committee decks, status reports, dashboards.
  • Translate high‑level direction into structured workstreams, deliverables, and timelines when the path is not yet defined.
  • Continuously improve integration and separation framework, playbooks, templates, dashboards, and KPIs for consistency, accountability, and speed.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional experience, including substantial consulting time focused on M&A integration, divestitures, business transformation, or large‑scale program delivery.
  • Proven track record leading cross‑functional programs from integration diligence through post‑close.
  • Experience operating within or alongside large, matrixed, multinational organizations with complex stakeholder dynamics.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and geographies, managing dispersed teams and senior executives.
  • Strong functional fluency in Finance & Accounting, HR / organizational design, IT, Legal, and Real Estate.
  • Demonstrated transition from structured program management to strategic, ambiguous problem‑solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to build rapport and trust at all levels.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for developing compelling business presentations and complex data visuals.
  • Experience with Smartsheet desired.
  • B.A./B.S. required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus.
  • Preferred experience with M&A integration, divestiture, carve‑outs, or transformation programs in media, entertainment, or adjacent industries.
