Archdiocese of Washington in Hyattsville, MD seeks a Director of the Office of Life Issues and Ministry to lead Parish Advocacy, education, and public witness for life from conception to natural death.

The role reports to the Executive Director of Social Justice and coordinates with multiple archdiocesan departments to defend life, oversee Project Rachel, and advance Catholic pro-life priorities within the Secretariat for Evangelization and Synodal Renewal.

Qualificações

• Practicing Catholic with a strong knowledge of faith and life issues and orthodoxy in word and witness.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; strong organizational and people skills.
• Reliable transportation to visit archdiocesan parish locations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Parish Advocacy by providing training, homily helps, liturgical resources, pastoral guidance, and life-issues toolkits.
• Develop educational campaigns to promote respect for life at all stages and equip schools with age-appropriate materials; host archdiocesan conferences and content.
• Coordinate participation in local, state, and national pro-life events and advocate for life-related priorities with partner bodies.
• Provide pastoral outreach for women and families in crisis pregnancies; oversee Project Rachel and support healing retreats and clergy trainings.
• Establish the Archdiocesan Committee for Life across deaneries to mobilize grassroots support and liaison with parishes and schools.
