Citi is seeking a Director in New York to lead the Leveraged Finance underwriting team within North America. You will drive origination, credit approval, and ongoing monitoring for leveraged lending portfolios while guiding junior bankers and coordinating with product partners across Banking and Risk Management.

You will supervise a multi-region team, defend credits in reviews, and stay ahead of market trends to strengthen Citi's credit risk framework and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Master's in Finance or MBA required / 12+ years leveraged finance experience
• Experience in underwriting or origination of leveraged finance transactions
• Proven leadership across multi-team / multi-region projects

Responsabilités

• Oversee and lead LFU's core functions: origination, credit approval, monitoring and portfolio management
• Collaborate with Leverage Finance Capital Markets, IB, Corporate & Commercial Banking and Risk Management to process complex deal approvals
• Review models for enterprise valuation and forecast client performance, articulating assumptions to senior management
• Supervise the Mumbai LFU team and mentor junior bankers under the group
• Develop governance frameworks for end-to-end credit underwriting processes
• Lead responses during Global Credit Reviews, Internal Audits and Regulatory Reviews
• Stay current on leveraged lending market trends and risk factors
