The Director, Legal Counsel ~ Southern Affiliates is an experienced attorney responsible for developing and directing a comprehensive program to manage all legal issues related to the Kaleida Health locations in the Southern Tier of Western New York, including Olean, Bradford, Northern Chautauqua, and future affiliate organizations. The Director will function as a generalist, identifying and evaluating all legal matters, and reserving for personal handling any matters appropriate to their training and expertise. Other matters will be referred to or require guidance from the Kaleida Health Office of General Counsel, especially in areas like compliance, litigation, health law, employment law, labor relations law, insurance, regulatory reporting, and healthcare risk management. The Director will coordinate with outside counsel representing the Southern Tier sites and serve as the primary liaison between site personnel and outside counsel. The role reports to and works closely with the Vice President, Risk Management Counsel for Kaleida Health.
Location: Larkin Bldg @ Exchange Street, Buffalo, NY
Work Type: Full-Time, Hybrid
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Bi-Weekly Hours: 75
Schedule: No weekend/holiday requirement, no on-call, no rotation
Salary Range: $120,354 - $165,487, determined based on experience and qualifications
