Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Functional Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our Legal and Corporate Affairs department. This role is essential in ensuring effective financial management, technology strategy, process optimization, and project management within the department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational leadership, a keen understanding of legal processes, and the ability to drive efficiency and innovation.

This position is "office-flex," meaning that it is a hybrid of in-office (Conshohocken, PA) and remote work capabilities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Under the direction of the VP, Legal and Corporate Affairs Operations, oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the department.
  2. Financial Management
    • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to optimize expenditures and align with organizational goals.
    • Manage vendor relationships ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services.
    • Administer subscription management for legal tools and resources, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  3. Tech Strategy / Process Optimization
    • Lead tech enablement initiatives to enhance operational capabilities.
    • Drive innovation through best practices and new technologies.
    • Oversee knowledge management efforts for critical information accessibility.
    • Identify and implement efficiency improvements.
    • Manage workflow automation projects.
    • Conduct data analysis for decision-making and improvements.
  4. Project Management
    • Support enterprise initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
    • Assist in preparing materials and facilitating meetings for the Board.
    • Oversee rollout of functional initiatives ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Experience and Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of operational management experience in a legal or corporate environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in technology strategy, process optimization, and project management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

Salary Range

$121,000 - 186,230 (varies by location). This range reflects a national average; actual compensation may vary based on geographic location.
