Job summary

Century Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Director of Large Scale Process Development in Branchburg, NJ.

The role focuses on scalable, GMP‑compliant bioprocess improvements for clinical and commercial manufacturing, including bioreactor expansion, cell differentiation, harvesting, and final fill operations. The successful candidate will lead a cross‑functional team, drive process tech transfer, and collaborate with MSAT, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to advance Century's iPSC‑derived therapies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in process scale-up, particularly cell therapy scale-up, process development, tech transfer and GMP manufacturing.
• Technical excellence in scale-up engineering principles and practical application.
• Ability to read and interpret batch records, SOPs, CAPAs and other quality documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale-up efforts to enable clinical and commercial manufacturing.
• Provide strategic, technical, and scientific leadership to PD scientists and engineers.
• Oversee scale-up/down experiments for expansion, differentiation, harvesting, and filling.
• Act as process development lead in mid to late-stage programs to meet corporate objectives.
• Foster growth of scale-up capabilities and adoption of new tech and engineering principles.
