Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to lead the hospital’s clinical laboratory operations, establish policies, and drive service quality across the lab team.

You will collaborate with physicians, department directors, and hospital staff to ensure accurate testing, maintain regulatory compliance, and mentor a skilled team in a full-time, Monday–Friday role with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of hospital laboratory experience.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs, establishes, and plans the overall policies and goals for a hospital's laboratory services.
• Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.
• Writes and updates procedures and manuals as needed and reviews them annually to ensure that employees have current information needed to perform tests and procedures.
• Leads and directs the work of others.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks.
