Job summary

Spectrum Labor Relations Director position seeks a professional to develop and implement strategies for an engaged, productive workforce across Spectrum's multi-state footprint.

You will work with leaders and frontline staff to sustain a positive environment, educate management on labor issues, and develop proactive measures to attract and retain top talent. Expect 50–75% travel and growth opportunities within Spectrum.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in labor relations; must have campaign management experience.
• 5+ years management or HR experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Deep knowledge of employee relations practices and labor law; organizing campaigns experience.
• Strong analytic, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, mentoring, and training/presentation skills.
• Ability to read/write/speak English; ability to present to management; decision-making under pressure; strategic thinking.
• Travel 50-75% of time.

• Supporting the Senior Director, Labor Relations in defining and articulating the organization's strategies for proactive employee and labor relations

• Developing and delivering preventative labor relations training
• Developing strategies to resolve problematic employee situations and employee relations issues
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relative to labor relations

Required Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

• Experience: Labor relations experience of 5+ years, must have experience managing organizing campaigns.
• Management and/or HR experience 5+ years
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Technical skills: Deep knowledge of employee relations practices and labor law. Organizing campaign experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated team and relationship building skills. Proven leadership and mentoring skills. Strong training and presentation skills.
• Abilities: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Can develop and implement action plans. Can effectively present information to management. Can make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure. Can show judgment and initiative and accomplish job duties. Can communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. Can think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs, and expectations
• Travel Ability: Office environment with 50-75% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Law degree or Masters in ER/LR
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry is a plus
