Job summary
Vertex Inc. is seeking a Director, Business Engagement & Technology, Lab Solutions to lead a team responsible for architecture, delivery, security, support, and evolution of enterprise laboratory technology platforms across Vertex labs and manufacturing floor environments.
The role operates in highly regulated GxP and SOX environments with an approximate $10M annual operating budget and strategic leadership in piloting innovative technologies such as intelligent automation, IoT-enabled
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (B.S. or equivalent).
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Requires 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain trust-based relationships with senior leaders across the enterprise.
- Lead Lab Engineering Support team and manage external partnerships via MSP model.
- Ensure stable, secure, and compliant lab technology operations across IT and OT with best practices (cyber security, ITSM, ITIL).
- Own and manage a $10M operating budget with disciplined financial planning and vendor management.
- Oversee programs, projects, platform releases, and enhancements aligned to business outcomes.
