Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, MI seeks a Medical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program to guide clinical and operational leadership for the Transplant Center. The role combines program development with expert transplant nephrology to optimize patient care and outcomes.

The candidate should have a renal transplant fellowship, BC/BE status, and strong regulatory knowledge, with a commitment to teaching, research, and collaboration across a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• BC/BE nephrologist with transplant experience; OPTN requirements must be met
• Renal transplant fellowship preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Unrestricted Michigan Medical License and DEA eligible

Responsibilities

• Direct all Kidney Transplant Program activities and monitor regulatory requirements
• Lead clinical care across pre-, peri-, and post-transplant phases and donor management
• Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to teaching, research, and program development initiatives
