Job summary

COUNTY OF DANE in Madison seeks a seasoned administrator to plan and direct the juvenile court's community-based programs. Under general direction, you will supervise staff, ensure policy compliance, and coordinate youth services across court, human services, and community partners.

A Bachelor's in social work or related field and five years' experience, including two in leadership, are required; a Master's can substitute for two years. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling or related human services field.
• Five years’ experience providing services to children and families in the juvenile justice system.
• Two years’ supervisory or leadership experience in related programs.
• Master's degree in a relevant field may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops policies and procedures for the court's non-secure programs, including Shelter Home and Home Detention.
• Supervises professional staff and coordinates services with other counties, schools, law enforcement.
• Represents the Juvenile Court on community-wide committees and provides training for law enforcement and human service agencies.
