Position:Director, IT Systems & Strategy
Division:JHI Group Inc.

Position Summary
This newly created position works side-by-side to the Director, IT Hardware & Security. The Director, IT Systems & Strategy will oversee the day-to-day operations of all business systems and corresponding support services while developing and implementing the company’s IT strategy. This role will support the company by ensuring enterprise systems are successfully implemented, integrated with existing solutions, maintained, and updated.

Essential Functions:

• Be the primary point of contact within the company for IT software and strategy.
• Oversee and ensure the quality, availability, reliability, and performance of all business applications while managing application upgrades, patches, customizations, integrations, and replacements.
• Enhance software applications, ensuring continuously improving processes for high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows.
• Lead system integrations with enterprise platforms and ensure data consistency across systems especially regarding BI, CRM, and the overall application architecture roadmap for both ERP and non-ERP solutions.
• Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that support business growth and efficiency.
• Provide strategic direction on emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to enhance business processes.
• Assist in creating and managing the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and identifying efficiency improvements
• Foster relationships with applications, software, and infrastructure vendors and service providers.
• Evaluate and select software solutions that align with the organization's needs and budget.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
• Supervise and develop IT team members, ensuring high performance, professional development, and positive employee relations. Additionally, supervise contractors and/or project teams as needed.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IT policies and procedures, ensuring system security, disaster recovery planning, data access controls, and operational integrity.
• Foster relationships with applications, software, and infrastructure vendors and service providers, including negotiating and maintaining service-level agreements and contracts.
• Support the organization on various administrative tasks not identified above.

Education, Experience, License, and Skill Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in IT, including 5+ years in leadership roles, providing a level of expertise and strategic insight equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Broad and extensive working knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, networking, backup, and cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of overseeing application implementation and infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of contemporary security challenges and protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of IT methodologies, user acceptance practices, and modern project management techniques.
• Strong experience in managing cloud-based, as-a-service solutions, and vendor relationships.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities while meeting deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

Working Conditions

• This role involves working in an office environment during the hours of 7:00am-4:00pm. Regular flexibility in working hours will be needed based on events and business needs.
