Job Summary

The Director of IT, Digital Workplace leads CenterPoint's transformation to a secure, cloud-managed, intelligent, and experience-led workplace. This role owns the strategy, architecture, engineering, and execution roadmap for end-user computing, endpoint management, device lifecycle, collaboration, digital employee experience, and AI-enabled workplace operations. The Director will establish a unified control plane across devices, security, service management, employee experience, and automation while improving reliability, mobility, productivity, and support outcomes for office and field employees.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and execute the Digital Workplace roadmap, progressing from design and readiness through pilot, scaled migration, optimization, and retirement of legacy dependencies.
  • Lead the transition from SCCM-centered endpoint management to an Intune-led, cloud-managed control plane, including co-management, policy baselines, compliance, application delivery, and cloud-based updates.
  • Modernize the device lifecycle across laptops, iPads, field devices, virtual desktops, and approved BYOD through persona-based standards, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, secure enrollment, refresh, recovery, and disposal controls.
  • Establish an integrated endpoint security and compliance model using identity, Conditional Access, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability data, exception governance, and proactive remediation.
  • Advance the digital employee experience through Endpoint Analytics, digital experience monitoring, adoption insights, self-service, proactive communications, and measurable improvements to onboarding and support.
  • Create an AI-augmented workplace experience with Copilot and conversational self-service as the front door, supported by governed orchestration, knowledge grounding, human-in-the-loop controls, and approved automation runbooks.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365, Intune, ServiceNow, HR systems, security platforms, Teams, conference technologies, and experience telemetry to enable connected workflows, automated joiner-mover-leaver processes, and end-to-end observability.
  • Define product ownership, architecture standards, governance forums, decision rights, execution gates, service measures, and executive dashboards covering enrollment, compliance, patch currency, application success, onboarding time, ticket volume, experience, security, cost, and adoption.
  • Lead service providers, technology partners, and internal engineering teams; manage contracts, financial plans, delivery commitments, operational performance, and transition risk.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team spanning endpoint engineering, modern management, collaboration, workplace automation, experience management, and service integration while fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Education Description
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or executive education preferred.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years leading digital workplace, end-user computing, endpoint engineering, collaboration, or workplace transformation capabilities in a large enterprise.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing multi-year technology roadmaps and leading complex global or multi-site transformation programs with measurable business and employee outcomes.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, SCCM, Windows endpoint management, Autopilot, Apple device management, BYOD, endpoint security, and modern application and update delivery.
  • Experience with virtual desktop and cloud desktop technologies, device-as-a-service models, hardware lifecycle management, field mobility, and persona-based device strategies.
  • Proven leadership in digital employee experience, ITIL and ITSM optimization, ServiceNow integration, automation, observability, self-service, proactive remediation, and AI-enabled service delivery.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, regulatory compliance, responsible AI, data governance, operational resilience, and security controls in a regulated or asset-intensive environment.
  • Strong financial, vendor, contract, and partner management capabilities, including experience establishing statements of work, service measures, governance, and executive reporting.
