Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Director, IT.Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Position purposeProvide support, management and oversight of IT department and function.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.Evaluates and implements IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency and cost containment.Ensures users are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.Structures, leads, trains, and develops IT staff for maximum effectiveness.Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.Develops and maintains company Disaster Recovery Plan.Develops/selects and conducts user training on an as-needed basis.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QualificationsEducation: Must have Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field. MBA preferred.Experience: 8-10 years of IT and project management experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience is required.Essential Skills and Experience:Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 12-24 month time span.Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Information systems development and implementation.Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.Employee training and development.User training.Technical skills and experience in Local and Wide Area Networks.Strong customer orientation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.High performance teams and a strong team player.Beneficial Skills and Experience:MBACertified Network Engineer (CNE)IT management within a manufacturing environment.Technical software skills and experience: Rumba/AS400, MS Office, Win95, Win3.1, Word Perfect, Lotus 123, GroupWise (e-mail), and Faxserver.System conversion experience.Must be able to work with/train/support any level of employee with confidence, patience and understandingMust be able to support patients as well as GI Alliance and non-GI Alliance staffPerformance Requirements:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient technical (computer) skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize.Self-motivated with initiative.Strong sense of ethics.Ability to manage conflict and resolve problems.GI Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
