Senior Vice President - BH Tech at Bascom Hunter

Location: Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Director of ISR Systems to lead the capture and development of next-generation solutions in the Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), and Machine Learning at the Edge domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in RF hardware, software architectures, and neuromorphic/edge AI systems, paired with strong leadership and proposal development experience. This role is a strategic hybrid position requiring both business acumen and technical depth, including serving as Principal Investigator (PI) on high-impact R&D programs.

Bascom Hunter provides solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Aerospace markets across various disciplines. Our BH Tech division currently provides products and services across Advanced Systems, RF Front Ends, Mixed Signal and Digital Solutions.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development and capture efforts for advanced ISR, SIGINT, ELINT, and edge-AI programs across defense, intelligence, and federal markets.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities, shaping customer requirements and influencing solicitations.
• Author and lead winning technical and cost proposals, white papers, and RFIs/RFQs.
• Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on selected R&D efforts, leading technical execution and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align capabilities with customer mission needs.
• Engage directly with DoD, IC, and commercial stakeholders to understand emerging needs and technology trends.
• Represent the company at conferences, and industry events to promote and market visibility of the company
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of funded research, prototyping, and product development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the defense or intelligence community, including hands-on technical experience in SIGINT, ELINT, RF systems, or ISR platforms.
• Demonstrated success writing and winning government-funded proposals (e.g., NRL, AFRL, IWRP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of machine learning at the edge, neuromorphic processing, embedded systems, and low-SWaP architectures.
• Technical background in RF hardware, SDR, signal processing, or software-defined systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing for proposals and white papers.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and customer engagement.
• Eligible for U.S. security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
