Job summary

Cooley LLP seeks a Director of IP Operations to lead all IP operations, including processes, systems and professional development across the IP team. The role drives Best Practices initiatives and coordinates with Legal Intelligence, Technology, and Practice Innovation to ensure resources and costs are managed effectively.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, project management, and mentoring capabilities within a hybrid work environment, with a focus on delivering excellent client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years' IP experience with 5+ years in a managerial role at a professional services firm.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop managers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IP operations and the IP Management System and related tools.
• Lead Best Practices Committees and IP learning initiatives across the practice.
• Collaborate with HR and practice leadership to optimize staffing, training and client service.
