Job summary

Utah Tech University seeks a strategic accounting leader to oversee investments, endowments, gifts, and external financial reporting for the University and University Foundation. The role guides internal controls, ensures compliance with GAAP and donor restrictions, and leads the annual financial reporting and audit processes.

The position is full-time, on-site in Utah, offering $80,000–$85,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, retirement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• Five years of accounting experience required; CPA may substitute for up to three years.
• Strong supervisory/management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile, and report investments, gifts, and related activities.
• Lead components of the annual financial report and audits.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and reconciliations for assigned functions.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to departments, leadership, auditors, and external agencies.
• Supervise and develop assigned staff; set performance expectations.
