Job summary

Castelion in Torrance, CA seeks a Director of International Business Development to lead the company’s global growth strategy for advanced defense systems. You will own international market expansion, strategic partnerships, and complex defense sales across US and allied markets.

You will navigate FMS/DCS, build a regional sales infrastructure, and manage regulatory and political factors while traveling 2‑3 weeks per month to support opportunities and executive relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, international relations, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in international business development, defense sales, or related government affairs.
• Proven success in complex, long‑cycle strategic sales with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience engaging foreign defense ministries and procurement organizations.
• Understanding of international defense acquisition and geopolitics.
• Strong partnerships, negotiation, and independent decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Lead international growth strategy for Blackbeard and future Castelion capabilities.
• Develop market expansion with INDOPACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM focus.
• Navigate FMS and DCS processes and engage with government agencies.
• Establish relationships with foreign military leaders and procurement authorities.
• Develop international sales infrastructure including capture, compliance, and regional representation.
• Represent Castelion in senior engagements with foreign governments and defense partners.
