Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Director of Internal Audit Professional Practices to lead QAIP, methodology, and analytics. You will drive continuous improvement across audit practice, planning, and reporting while partnering with leadership to elevate audit maturity and effectiveness.

You will oversee training, policy development, and the deployment of audit tools to support enterprise-wide governance and quality objectives. Hybrid work options at multiple locations are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in internal audit standards, methodologies, and practices.
• 4+ years leading a diverse audit team with hiring and coaching.
• Experience with QAIP requirements and quality reviews.
• Experience developing/maintaining audit methodologies, policies, and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead QAIP and improvement activities including monitoring, assessments, file reviews, and methodology compliance.
• Develop and maintain audit methodologies, policies, standards, and templates for IIA-aligned practices.
• Oversee annual audit planning, risk assessment, coverage framework and governance.
• Develop audit quality metrics and dashboards; ensure consistent execution and reporting.
• Lead quality reviews of engagements, assess planning, testing, and issue validation.
• Drive initiatives to improve audit effectiveness, efficiency, and stakeholder value.
• Oversee audit systems, tools, workflows, and technology enhancements.
