Job summary

VDA in East Hanover, NJ is seeking a Director of New Construction Design Services to lead the architectural vision for multiple projects from concept through completion.

You will manage a design team, coordinate with clients, contractors and engineers, ensure compliance with codes, budgets, and schedules, and deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions that advance the firm's reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team in the development of new construction projects.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each project.
• Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments, including engineering and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review and approve design documents, ensuring they align with project goals and client expectations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
